All Aerial & Materials Lift Platforms should be safety inspected by a trained, aerial work platform, service technician a minimum of once a year, as per ANSI (American National Standards Institute) guidelines. Type of usage and operating conditions usually dictates the required service frequency. Initial service intervals are established by both the customer and CSI service department and may be easily altered to meet any changes in the customers operations, by simply advising our service department.
An electric scissors lift unit’s design normally allows a routine service and inspections to be done at your facility, in a majority of cases. Each service would be billed at a set price per visit. This includes checking: mechanical components condition, presence and proper function of all safety switches and interlocks, presence and legibility of all required safety decals, proper function of controls and components, wheel and tire conditions, etc.
Any replacement parts or fluids would be additional cost. If you wish, we could perform the annual safety inspection at the same time a routine service procedure is done. Approximately 1/2-hour labor would be added to the billing for the Annual Inspection procedure. Emergency service situations would be usually handled on a “customer will call” basis, and billed at our standard labor rate. Should major repairs ever be required, the unit would be brought to our shop, an estimate prepared, and customer permission required before repairs are done.
